I spend quite a bit of time playing DTV, these are just some changes I think would improve this game mode - none should be very hard to fix/add.

First
I think we all can agree the virgin is rather annoying.

1) If you could remove her that'll be great, if not oh well worth a shot.
2) Remove range bots ability to shoot the virgin and damage her from afar.
3) Make her weaker, that way people actually have to think about guarding her instead of waiting for Vivi to start spamming chat in a really annoying manor.

Second
Bugs!

1) The most annoying thing about this game mode In my opinion is fighting throwers.... not because they have ridiculous accuracy or damage but they do not switch to their melee weapons when you approach them ( Weaboos seem to be unaffected by this bug but those are the only throwers that do switch to their melee weapon). Varric will continue to throw Jarids at you point blank. Some bandits do switch but its not consistent. Sea raiders are even worse. There is nothing more annoying than being surrounded by 3 bots all spamming the W key and instantly headshotting you from point blank range. So you have two choices; rush into the horde of bots with weapons raised glancing on everything or be head shot, sounds fun right?

2) AI Cavalry: nomad horse archers in particular. They get stuck in every possible place in existence, constantly drawing out the round because players have to go look for them. In my opinion a way to fix this is simply lessen the amount of horse archers that spawn, replace them with more lancer cavalry, infantry, and maybe if it wasn't too much trouble add another nomad class- 1h shield cavalry like Shik- but with a Nomad Sabre and a Round Cavalry shield. My point here isn't to remove horse archers from DTV but to lessen the annoyance of finding them, maybe keep 3-4 each wave max if that is possible.

3) I am not exactly sure how to word this one... but bots phase through each other rather often.  Not sure if it is fixable.

4) There are maps were bots get stuck in their pathfinding on hills, cliffs, and in the middle of roads -  for no apparent reason. Not sure how to fix this but it would be nice to have a solution.

Third
 Re-add the ability to spawn on horses. Now before you freak out and say OP bots can't fight horses consider the following.

1) Disable healing for horses, heal the rider and leave the horse wounded (will kill careless riders, and reward those that are careful.)
2) Range bots will murder horsemen anyway regardless of how careful you are, especially in later waves.
3) Still kill unmounted horses at the end of a wave.

Defend the village way more fun.

It changed to virgin so there was no doorcamping anymore, but if thats the real reason, you failed miserably.
Back in the day we went for the most crouded place, and made a shieldwall in there, using 2h and polearms to slash in between the shields.
Now its just fencecamping, or using a bridge-lure-bug-abuse...

Defend the village was more fun.

1 - YES
2 - never thought of it as a problem
3 - Yes, but that will result in a lot of fails because people are dumb
Second
1 - Been there, saw things, only NA seem to have this problem, EU bots, while unable to block other than thrusts, change from throwing to melee when you approach them and they target you
2 - Lol yes, why is it not done yet?
3 - Not fixable
4 - Remove faulty maps, done already in EU, only 1-2 maps with MINOR stuck problems remain

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnno. Not sure if you've played any other invasion based mods (Full invasion 2) that allow horses, but no matter what, if the player isn't dumb, horses ARE in fact an OP piece of meat. I don't want 5 players coming and spawning on plated chargers each round, dumbing down the gameplay to bump fests and longsword spamming. It's bad enough already with all "ranged" who massacre your backside. (Not saying all of them do this, but many)

Well thought ideas, bring back DTVillage, and if I may add: Bring back DTVillage, make Vivi a bonus to defend for higher reward, add moar rounds-armies like some naginata bearing chinese or german-like halberdiers.

By the way, Paul, is your anwser a proof that DTV is, in fact, the ONLY developed gamemode currently? Because that would make sense, seeing how you easily convert stuff there.

Defend the village was an awesome mod, where defend the virgin is finding the best fence, roof, ladder or bridge to abuse...

oh ... remove the village ... everyone is tired to fight in a village , why not in a fort , or something like it ? Maps were made , but when they will be implemented in dtv ? It would be very cool ...

Another question ... Why are constructions sites not allowed ? :(

EDIT : Poor Paul , and poor devs. We are too exigeant maybe ...  You are doing a new game, I won't qq moar ... :)

There are a few things about DTV that aren't very fun.

The face-hugging throwing headshot masters.
The run-all-over-the-damn-map horse archers. 
The ability of the bots to frequently swing and/or walk through their buddies.
WSE2 gives us the key to a wonderful world of butthurt...

hum ... If I have a last thing to qq , that's the tincan wave give us less than peasants ... even if we win it , reward on this wave should be buffed , like 5000 gold if we win , and 2500 if we loose ... qq ended , thanks for read !  :)

You could probably fix most of the bots getting stuck by making an AI mesh for each map but that is very very time consuming.
