Wrong question, the right question is "why would anyone want a village?"  There's lots of reasons for that.

I think thats what I was saying, its a much bigger faction than just you - deterrent to people thinking of attacking your village.  You actually are just another member of ildist and mates not an independent faction like the previous owner.  No real reason to -1 when im warning off people from attacking you because you are not independent and that fief really is just another idlist and mates possession.
