Smoketh,
I was writing a longer answer but I had a computer problem so it did not save..at least you do not have to read it :)  but I will not rewrite

I will just make the bottom line that I was not expecting crysis2 graphics, did not state this in my comment. I played approx 700 hours with Mount and Blade, Warband and Cprg together, so I am fine with the graphics of these and the play experience and fun it offers.

Just in my opinion it looks worse, that is it, and it is strange that it was released a year after WB and it does not have at least the same. (at least some of us it seems feel this way, maybe others do not feel any differences)

Poetrydog, I pre-purchased, so I guess the pre-download was not an option then, maybe it was a mistake from me that I bought blindly bcs of the MB brand name. I know I do not have to play with it if I do not want to, and I only lost 13 eur, not 50, which is still better.

Yep. Just played the demo a bit, and I have to say, most of the items and animations look worse than the stuff in this or other mods. The new features (Wagenburg, lol nice idea but the AI can't deal with it) don't seem to be worth it either.

Love the old russia atmosphere, but most of the stuff isn't really as good as it could be. I don't see any interest in making cRPG for fire and sword, even items won't really fit the era of actual cRPG, and firearms... As much as banzai charges in front of muskeets may be appealing to me, it would just turn the game more in a medieval counter-strike and, obviously, suck. That would be silly to do that just after a patch which seems to have balanced things a lot better than before.

I don't regret buying it though, it was cheap and this studio is worth supporting.

WFAS based on  the historical trilogy(only one positive value WFAS'-story in SP), written by Henryk Sienkiewicz(polish Nobel Prize laureate 1905).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_Fire_and_Sword
This game mod was released (in Poland), almost 1.5 years ago and collected a very bad reviews on the polish scene M&B/WB (incredible amount of bugs). It is now much better / improved, maybe...
But... this is not WB 2(as it's trying to advertise/sell). That's, belatedly, chestnut steak, slightly smelly...
IMHO,  mod(!) only for the blind (firearms) enthusiasts/fans.

PS.Now in  beta-test-phase is a free version/mod MP WFAS, created by polish modders...

Saber and double pistol in duel servers is win.  Throws ppl off like crazy.  And it's easy to dodge bullets in F&S

Heard Fire and Sword sucks hard from everyone that's played it. The Looters still say " You better not be a manhunter!"   There's better mods in the Warband modding community.
