Got it, and it's indeed a nice little change from the other games i usually play (turn by turn and such, recently Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless for example).
I haven't gotten further than the jack of plague yet (didn't play much), but game seems really easy so far. Hopefully it will get more challenging in the next levels.
Once got very unlucky and ran out of food. Only to loose 10 health per turn. Since i was full health, i finished that level easily.
Two usefull tips wich seems pretty "obvious", but you still need to be lucky to get the card itself :
1. When you build your deck, only keep your best weapons (3 or 4 choice for example).
When you encounter the canyon thing, you're sure to get a decent weapon that way. The multiple instances of other items (armor for example), are to be sold, to gain money.
Incredible how fast ennemies die with a proper weapon.
2. The finisher move, yet powerfull, takes a bit of time. Nearly never use it unless the other alive opponents are stunned/on the ground, very far away and no range. Lost too many times 3 precious health, broking the perfect series.
Edit : Nice endless mode. There's a huge part of luck involved though, to have a decent start, and not run out of food and everything. Also, after having played more, the difficulty is there. I actually got frustrated, when having to fight on the super tiny ship both queen and jack of rust.
Also had to fight 12 rats once, after a Huge Failure that actually discarded my... shield. I died in a few seconds, thanks to the absence of green warning messages (damn mace with not even a counter).
Having a good bit of fun.
