Rework the catapult

Make it easier to use. It's way too slow, clunky and thus impractical in most battles.

Take this video for example:

http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/18/frktctsbkascfxjhezecff.mp4/

Notice how the "pull back" mechanism is just holding the F key down and using the movement on the bar to gauge its distance while the "release" is just slashing at the catapult. My suggestion would be this: Take out the pulling mechanic and replace it with a system similar to the one in the video. Same with the release (cutting the same area where you normally have to hold f on). Finally make the change direction faster.

These small changes would make a huge difference and make catapults not such a waste of materials past breaking down a bugged castle wall.

Working the catapult atm requires a little bit of skill and knowledge about it.

A guy like bobby is capable of building a catapult inside a castle, then shooting over a wall to destroy a siegetower directly behind it without damaging the wall. I like it that way.

Your suggestion would limit the use of cata's, not even to mention that a totally flat terrain will be needed for it to work.

You two dare question my knowledge of the catapult? I hope you intend to back up those words! I demand a catapult duel on Wednesday. The loser gives the winner 100k and the begs for forgiveness for this slight!

But seriously
Working the catapult atm requires a little bit of skill and knowledge about it.
Do you really think I don't understand how the catapult works? My suggestion would not limit the use of catapults at all if you read what I wrote in my original post. Pulling it back would be faster, firing it would be faster, and moving it would be faster. How does that limit or hinder the catapult in any way? If you got the "totally flat terrain" thing from watching the video you clearly did not read my post. I don't want the same exact catapult as in the video. I was showing a firing system that is much smoother than the one currently in CRPG.
