I play it time to time, my party is at level eight or something around that. If I recall correctly I got lost or stuck and cba to look for the "hidden" switch at each segment of wall when there's twenty rooms and corridors between them.

Combat is very underwhelming in this game. I'd enjoy it a lot more if it was Dark Messiah style aRPG.

Mods compatible with cRPG. New crosshairs, textures, sounds, yay.

It's an attempt at making a modern MUD-style game, isn't it? I've been playing Sword of the Stars: The Pit lately, it is also like that and strangely addictive :)

It is your typical dungeon crawler, but with modern execution. It could use some more roguelikeness, as real time doesn't bring much good compared to turn based when you already have a world entirely made out of tiles.

You should definitely try The Pit then, it's a ton of fun :)

I reached the end of the game 3 times [all achievments + Toorum mode], but meh... too short for my taste. EOB or Ishar series were a few times longer, more complicated and with better atmosphere. But overall it was nice fun with dose of nostalgia. I hope that second part will be more advanced in all aspects.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.
