Long maul gameplay has become mostly frustrating to me. It has always been kinda frustrating, because you are getting ganked so often without the possibility to actually fight back. (slow and animations are getting stuck on everything)
Overhead animation is so slow, that even with 175 wpf, experienced fighters will just close in and hit you now before you can crushthrough. Most 1h have more reach with right swing anyway.. and fighting hoplites/long spear is just a joke now^^
Chambering stabs and overheads, which was my favorite way to beat 2h, is just useless now. Fainting overheads to close in as well. So you have to rely on superslow swings, whom deal not enough damage to compete with other classes.
Long maul can be still viable in groupfights though, when you got people helping you. On top of a ladder.. and against noobs, whom don't know what to do^^
What I really would like to see, would be crushthrough for successfull chamberblocks for all directions
- to give the class some spicy skill.
