crushthrough and charged attacks

More weapons deserve crush through that is for certain.

I have a way of injecting some skill into crushthrough and balance it pretty well.

The problem has always been crushthrough being very unpredictable.
What if more weapons had it (maybe even some 2H axes) but a perfect pause/hold has to be executed before it can occur.
So if the hold time is between .5 and .7 seconds than crushthrough can occur but has the ordinary chance factor applied anyway.

But he'll be around somewhere between Heaven and The Devil, because neither of them will take him in, and he'll be farting loudly and singing a filthy song.

i'll be there at around

Today I was holding block for like 5 seconds, and dude still managed to hit me. I'm not sure does nerf to holding aply to blocks to?

Great Maul is fine, it suits my style pretty well. I'm used to hold attacks before I release them (which can be quite the issue against some shielders).

About your idea, well I support it but I think it's not ready for cRPG. For Melee it would be awesome actually, I hope they add stamina too.

Probably the age-old Warband bug where the client and server disagree about which direction you are blocking. You usually see the block switch directions the instant you get hit, though.

In all seriousness we need to focus on things that are realistic and improve the depth of combat.

Things that are easily countered (with most weapons) but provide a bonus if a weapon is used a certain way. If I was the one making changes to this game I would be using "pauses" and "block stun" a lot more in weapon balance and when sculpting combat dynamics into something both more skillful, more arcade and less monotone.
