Story: This guy was building a weapon rack in attacker spawn. The rules quite clearly state that you have to wield a weapon, if that's up for change, I don't care. However, I saw this guy constantly  running around without a weapon, so after a while I banned him. I don't see how a weapon rack in attacker spawn would make it any faster for the attackers to get ammo. Surely it would be faster to pick up a weapon from the ground and go berserk on the enemy 'til you die and respawn?

And last time I checked, pugilists had to have a weapon. It's what my pugilist had. And gear is not the only thing that determines leech status. The other is contributing. This guy was not contributing anything and he didn't have a weapon. Quite a clear leecher to me.

Of course, I'm always willing to change how I interpret the rules if any higher-up wishes to correct me. But this guy was literally not contributing anything, not with his weapon rack or with his suicide runs to collect more material. Besides, this is this guys 7th ban. He should know the rules by now, and if he doesn't like my interpretation of the rules, the correct way of going about it is to complain to a higher rank admin, but until some of those tell me what's what, it's probably best to do what the admin says, even if you disagree and then we can talk about it later.

I saw him doing this very frequently for the last few days. He actually constructs a weapon rack then uses it as a nuclear missile launch base (read : takes 4 throwing lances as equipment and atomize the enemy). On some maps it can be effective, but it is definitely hilarous on most. Especially the ones he goes artillery and shoots over the walls in hope to hit some poor defender.

so am i the only one here that looks past the bad use of language and actually thinks he has a point?? this thread just seems to be a bunch of asslickers concuring that op is a retard for being a ''gangsta''. looking past the very broken english, what i understand the situation was = he was building a weapon rack , while wearing normal gear ( someone using heavy gauntlets can never be seen as a leecher imo, since it defies the whole meaning of leeching) so khorin was actually not using common sense in his ban. bans are all to interpetation of the rules and they can be enforced for the most childish reasons, just like a cop can give you a ticket for cycling on the sidewalk. may i even call this an agitation ban, dunno but it very much seems like it.

My view on this. Getting banned for spawning with 4 C. Materials when you are helping building a weapon rack shouldn't be against the rules. Ofc, if you don't get a weapon right after the weapon rack is built, then it is leeching, but if you are actually building a weapon rack to make a good position for ammo resupply (VERY usefull, almost important, for throwers on siege defense), then they should be able to do so.

Things like weapon rack and the like is one of the things that makes cRPG so much cooler than native. Don't penalize people for trying to use them. I've seen Yurnero ingame in siege doing badass when he builds a weapon rack in a good position (usually overlooking the flag) and just rape people with throwing lances.

There is always more to a story and I think Khorin pretty much summed that up. The player has previously been warned & banned for his actions and continues to do the same thing with small differences. Just carry a proper weapon, contribute and all will be fine and dandy in the world.
