How do you know if someones using autoblock?

Was fighting someone whose blocking was real quick with normal ping, stood back feinted like mad and blocks changed almost identical time short lapse after each feint. Of course guy could just be good but in many hours of play I've never thought "fishy" before.

Probably a skilled player, possibly under an alt to that makes you suspicious. (Encountering someone "new" can usually lead you to be sceptical over someone you've seen for a long time.)

Regardless, there are no 100% sure fire ways to tell if someone is using an autoblock through visuals, I mean, your enemy could just have been good as I say.

Let the machines with their coding recognise it, trust in chadz & co. Never accuse someone of autoblocking either! ;)

I've never met anyone whom I could suspect to be using autoblock.
I think if I meet a person who blocks perfectly but is a noob at attacking and fails for my tricks and held strikes - I would most likely think he's an autoblocker. But they get banned always, so who cares anyway...

The whole 'feint multiple times per second and watch the other guy instantly adjust to each feint' method that you did is the best way. That's not a guarantee that he's cheating, of course.

At any rate, if the guy is autoblocking, he will get banned in the next ban wave.

I remember playing on EU_melee quite a long time ago, spotting a player who was absolutely awful at everything bar blocking. Footwork, attacking and all the other stuff you can see in a good player wasn't there, but getting past his blocks were a pain. First time I ever was suspicious, really suspicious. Told cmp his name, turns out he was an autoblocker. Next day the second autoblock banwave was done by the italian stallion.

Question is, was it any good feinting? Did he have any good footwork? Looked like a good player in disguise or was he awful bar his blocking?

You don't. They ban them after some time. But you shouldn't care about it, so much randomness has been added to this game and also there are macros so.. just enjoy the game.

Have played this and native a fair bit, used to regularly do IG practice versus some seriously skilled Warband players, some guys are exceptional blockers but not seen that kind of standardised almost instant response before.

As for detecting I would be surprised if it was 100%.
