Can't join battles

Every time i try to join a battle it just puts me in spec mode and won't let me join. The first battle i fought as a merc and it let me, but the 2 times after that it wouldn't let me join my faction even when it was my own battle... I lost my own battle even though i was there because i was stuck in spec.

Any help please?

u have to be hired first before u can join.
Even ur own battles.

but i was hired on the other battle and i was still stuck in spectate mode. they told me to rejoin, which i did, but to no avail.
How do you hire yourself? on crpg.net or the strat website?

1. then u probably tried to join with your alt. wich doesn't work. u can only join strat battles with the main.

Thanks so much Bjarky for answering my noob questions. But i don't have an alt... i was definitely on my main character. but as for not being able to fight my own battle was because i didn't hire myself... maybe it was just a bug then? i've signed up for more battles tonight. If it happens again i'll post it!
