I'm using Google Chrome, everything works fine. On Firefox the loading times of different pages were far too long...

Well its just for 4 hours or so now.

Is there perhaps something where I accidently disabled the graphics?

SeaMonkey is some kind of Firefox btw, just faster imo and without annoying toolbars and so on.
