I wish this super old bug would be fixed.  I've been in a couple open field battles now where our horseman spawn far from our spawn point, and basically right next to the enemies.  All they have to do is just have 2 people camp there with spears and your horsemen are fucked.

Can you fix this?  Pretty please?  It's not new...

Yes, I can confirm this. Saw it in one battle only but it was confusing seeing the enemy cav directly in front of us.

BUMP for very important relevance!! This is making battles a  lot less enjoyable because of glitchy spawns

Just throw a couple ladders around the enemy cav spawn and post up 2 spearmen, enemy cav neutralized.
