"Coward" builds - why ppl make them? because they want to have any chance to survive on battlefield.
Everyone will kill enemy archer if have any accasion to do it.
Hi ath for archers is standard, because archer just have to be mobile, in other way he is dead.
Other reason is cav. Even with 8 ath it's really hard to avoid their attacs (especially champin arabians - they can turn around faster than u can do it on foot ;( )
