115 wpf is enough for 1h + shield, but this is subject to change from what I understand.

is 148 wpf enough for 1h+shield?
depends on your armor weight kamil.
Use this calculator: http://infinitum.dyndns.org/crpg/calc.htm
go to weapon damage calculator , fill in the blanks and tell me your "effective wpf" if it's above 100 , it's ok.
If it's below 100 you start to lose damage .

Actually that calculator doesn't have the wpf exactly correct, as you'll see there's usually a couple to few points extra it shows compared to in game what it actually is. If you want a more precisely accurate one to find out effective wpf, use this newer character calculator. Click on the "Mele Damage calc" and you'll see where to plug in armor weights and wpf and all that.

You should also read the first Sticky in Guides, the Game Mechanic Megathread...super helpful.

I love how most EU players insert an imaginary "f" into my name: Winterfly.

Hmmm, this is weird. I'm not getting the same effective wpf result from the character calculator page compared to when I do the math manually.

Quote
Armor weight
Armor weight modified proficiency = base proficiency * (1 - 0.01 * effective armor weight)
Effective armor weight = 2*head armor weight + body armor weight + leg armor weight + 4*hand armor weight - 10
(Source: WaltF4, updated 31.7.2012 based on the new formula)

Using this I get an effective wpf of 106.72 instead of 101. I'm no math wiz, but I redid the equation several times to make sure and got the same result. Character calculator out of date after certain patch?
