ehhh i need a little help with deciding waht helmet to use.

ok i was searching the internet about byzantines,and i found out that archon's armor is not archons armor at all.
it is Varangian guard armor (one of armors). Archons were rich people,but guards were barbarians that imperor hired to guard him.

here are some pictures of archon's armor how it was realy used.

Since i am i byzantium i would like to roleplay it,but i don't realy see what helmet is closest to the ones in pictures above.

Please help.

Clibanarius helmet!

What body armor are you going to use with it? (only read the title + viewed the pictures :P)
It looks good with Archon armor aswell, imo.

Gnezdovo is an awesome choice aswell.

Dude i ask what helmet should go with archons armor that isn't actualy archon's armor? I use now guard armor but that isn't accurate.
Thouse guards were scandinavians,so they looked like vikings. See the pictures?

Clibanarius helmet were used by cavalery,and it goes together with Clibanarius armor. I want to be historicly accurate. |real roleplay.

mirko you are pretty right for Novogrod helmet,but it is very ugly because it is too big. It looks like Novogrod helmet in second picture.

Their armor seems a little bit more fancy then Nordmen would wear, a tad "lighter".
