i do not want to decrease amount of 2h, its just that the way we have duels on foot is silly and got controls of a FPS game ala Counter Strike, bascily they took a popular controls and dropped them into medieval game

a jump to the side/back might be more theme-friendly i think, it might be even better to avoid cav/throwers/archers/xbowers when you time it right

also history of nerfs shows players can switch to the new mechanics just fine, i dont think such change would stop melee combat players from having as much kills as they do now

edit: Wiltzu show me a movie where they circle around each other, show me a clip where a fight look like the one we have in m&b ? where you have two guys in armors fighting they will move, just not the way they do in here, im not saying they should stand still, just introduce a new type of movement whent it comes to strafing and backpeddaling

-You increase the weight penalty for archers to 10k,allowing them to wear heavier gear.
-You removed polestagger because 2h heroes kept crying.
-You will buff WM.

Also a greatsword can outreach a polearm,which is way retarded,but thats not it,a stab can outreach a lance.

quick edit : I`m not whining or anything,I`m just stating the facts of how much broken 2h class is.

Increased weight penatly for archers is epic change and be increased to 15 imho.
Polestagger should be compensated by polearm damage buff.
WM buff sounds scary but hopefully it give people with high WM skills more points to spend which will result in better hybrids.

Greasword stab can outreach a polearm and that's why its broken. However greatsword stab can't outreach heavy lance. I can but that's ony me in the whole game. I said them what to do to fix that, but I doubt they will listen.

Also, Panos have you ever played archer? It's shit class unless you're high level and have everything loomed.

I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

2h is not OP, its strange and unrealistic, but its not OP.

Ontopic: This is an enormously drastic change that will fuck up the entire game for months to come. Yes, the swinging while running to the side looks ridiculous and would take all the power away from a swing realistically, but I think we'll have to live with it.

I admit the current fighting does look a little silly (in duels at least), but not as silly as two guys standing in front of each other taking turns hitting each other with little to no movement.

Current fighting does look silly, but hopping isn't the solution. Doing something about s-key (penalty with chambered weapon?) and somehow allowing sidestepping and all without dancing would be nice, but it would be hellishly hard to do properly.

IRL siderunning looks silly also just look do you think medieval fight looked like that ?

I don't know what ass-backward country you come from for THIS to be real life side strafing. If you side strafe like this in real life, I would pay to see it.

This is a DRILL, not how people actually side strafe in real life.

Mind you, cmp said something about working on different damage depending on where you hit with your weapon, so it may be actually advantageous, esp. with polearms, to try to keep your opponent where the blade is rather then hitting them with any part for epic chopping damage.
