My beautiful and lovely Mighty Mallet.

I don't especially want to part with this guy, but I have respec'd to cav and it is unusable on horseback. So I am mainly looking for Longswords and Heavy Bastard Swords. However, I will consider all offers because even if it is unusable on horseback I may still be able to trade it for something I want.

This thing dominates siege, people just don't know what to do about crushthrough over there.

It works great everywhere though, and honestly I get the majority of my kills from side swings and knockdowns. Just the threat of crushthrough is enough to make people really off their game.

It also does a lot of damage. I have been running a 21 strength build with 7 ps and generally people die in one or two hits as opposed to the four or five hits with my longsword.

Just remember if you are fighting smart people, you have to play smart as well. Spam doesn't, contrary to popular opinion, counter a mallet if you play smart. Block for a bit, don't be too aggressive, wait for them to get into a rhythm, block, and counter-attack with a side swing. It always hits before their next swing, you just have to be careful they don't backpeddle. Patience will win any battle with this weapon, but crazy crushthrough spamming will rack up kills too.


This weapon is pretty rare and a lot of fun!

Pros:

Crushthrough

High blunt damage (Will smash your tincans. :] )

Very high knockdown chance.

Virtually never glances. (Never has for me.)

Decent speed for crushthrough.

Longest 2h crushthrough.

Cheap.

Intimidating.


Cons:

May be quick for a crushthrough, but slow compared to other 2h.

Unbalanced (harder to stop swings, you gotta be a bit more careful about tks and have to cancel swings faster for feints.)

Can't use on horseback. ( )
