FPS usually = garbage :!: And as years go by it becomes more and more of a rule. The only exeption that occured was the new "deus ex".  Pretty much the only good FPS that has been released in a long time.

I wouldn't even say the new Deus Ex was that good either... certainly didn't live up to the original Deus Ex's name. The only FPS I played recently and enjoyed was BF3 and that was months ago now lol. Still love the source engine and all its games + mods, but I just played the life out of it for years.

The new Deus Ex' writing really bothers me sometimes. The quest for the guy being blackmailed stealing the prosthetic drug doesn't even explain why he's doing it at the start and I'm not a very good security chief if I'm aiding him in getting away without any other choice besides ignoring it. The quests I've come across right now boil down to refuse it and lose a chance for exp or follow the quest line more or less rigidly. The system for accumulating praxis also makes me feel like it's forcing me down a set play style to maximize it's accumulation.

I also died several times during the intro sequence because shooting enemies doesn't stun them in anyway until you put enough bullets in to kill them.
And how!

That's why you kill him...jeez Thumbs. Kill for being an incompetent screwup ffs. :D

Also it's true HR wasn't as good as DX Original. No sexy low tech melee weapons (Y NO DRAGGY SWOOOOOOORD!?!?!?!) or awesome gadgets and stuff like that but you gotta realize gaming has evolved and whether it's for the better or not is not for me to judge.

HR still had an awesome soundtrack (although original DX one were one notch better) and that nice prequel story. And gotta love Jensen. I consider Original DX to be the best game ever in my opinion and HR is a WORTHY sequel. IW was tbh shitty for the most of it although it had some few good features.

BOTTOMLINE. HR is a good game overall and a frickin masterpiece if you compare it to the rest of the games that comes out nowadays.
