There is already a map named vendetta, so you'll have to rename the map. Going to look over the map today.

Looks solid and well built, will be interesting to see how the double gates work out. The only very minor thing I could find was some small floating objects. Just pick another name and I'll put it up.

So, good job!

Hi jacko thanks for reviewing it! Glad you like it, will sort both issues out tomorrow morning when I am home. Floating objects were likely from moving things about when trying to balance it out perfectly. I'm hoping gates work out well, that's the main fluid way to assault, less than 60 seconds to get to the flag  :)

Wanted to add more detail for a medieval authentic map but also had performance in mind

No way to balance it more then from play testing. Now, what will you name it?

Started a Omaha style siege map, thoughts?

Attackers will spawn in ships and raid the beaches, charging the castle towering over them.

WIP.

would it be possible to put up some spawns behind the 'german bunkers' so it looks like a parachute landing?

Hey man, since Warhill_castle is now in the rotation: It's not gonna work. Maps with one narrow stairway to flag NEVER work. It's either unattackable (2 or 3 people are enough to defend the flag, mauls and shielders to be exact) or once some attackers got to the flag you have almost no chance to get it back as a defender. And that's the kind of gameplay i really hate about siege-maps. Not to mention you are most likely to spawn next to enemies, with a hard way back to the flag.
Attackers should be able to reach the flag in multiple ways, means: Cut a hole in the flag-room and put a ladder get up there. Forces defenders to stay closer to flag, because they have to defend 2 spots now, equals more chances for attackers and smart defenders are still able to defend it quite nicely.
The walking distance from attackerspawn to flag seems good, but the fact that the castle is very small, the gates and frontwalls seem kinda useless to me. Left ladder is probably just as fast. Maybe push the whole thing way beyond the invisible wall and put the ladder on the very back? Together with the new way to flag this could be actually a map i would really enjoy, small castles with much action are very nice, but right now it's utterly useless, tbh :x

Had been trying to play test for a week but due to issues in getting it on the server I hadn't been able to. Crucial step really which I haven't been able to achieve yet.

Regarding the flag, it is at the highest point but as defender spawns are spread out, it was intended to balance. I agree it could be an issue though, which is why I want to witness a play test myself, along with the ladder positioning issue.

:)

that Warhill_castle map contains a wall you can go through right to the flag(attack side)
