The only solution is to make a separate server for "ancient times", but this also will not happen...unfortunately 

I agree with all your points Kalp. A seperate server would indeed be amazing, I would indeed level up a character myself if we had an ancient armor set and a different version.

@ orbusprime: They do indeed look a bit better than Mount&Gladius but they would still not fit the crpg style at all. :/ Not making sense to fight a full plate guy with a war cleaver if you wear that kind of armor.

Such things were lobbied for pretty hard in ye olde days, when cRPG was less srs bsns.
Problem number one was that these models had bare hands and legs (which are actually part of the model) and would thus result in skin color being different, if you used them with a char with skin color any other than the most light.
Problem number two was that the devs were unwilling to add this even then.
