Selling equipment in towns

Does it pay off? I mean if u have a craftinglvl of a god in some item and u can make crapload of em in just a few hours, does selling it in fiefs that have high prosperity pay off, or is it completely useless I wanna sell it to players :?:

pretty sure never pays off, you only get 20% of value selling it. I don't have anything at 99 skill but I think the highest discount is 80%.
