Medieval 2: total war - Wounded soldiers?

I just fought a battle a while ago, and few of my yeoman bowmen got killed, but later, after winning the battle, their ranks were full. Do some troops that fall in battle count as wounded?

Yes.

Cool! Beats me though, that they fell unconscious after being shot by crossbow. Oh well, video game logic :D

You can get some traits on generals as well like Doctor etc, your army's pretty much gonna be able to do twice the battles before you gotta retrain if you have that trait

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that out. Guess I can lock this now, unless anyone wants to add something.

Wounded is not the same as unconscious. Wounded is you being shot in the leg so bad you won't be getting up in weeks, but turn times are 6 months and up in medieval 2.

I meant it more in the gameplay sense, as in someone gets wounded, battle ends and they get up fine.

Video game logic? You'll have plenty of that in Warband Single Player.

I know but total war games are usually at least semi-realistic, as oposed to mount and blade.

It sort of is, as wounded happens mainly from range or friendly fire casualties, and much more rarely from actual melee engagements, and almost never from cavalry charges, and literally never from overkill deaths (Artillery and fire).
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.
