I recommend skipping the Sound Blaster Tactic3D series. I went through a headset phase earlier in the year and was going through different ones (including the Tactic 3D) like popcorn due to shitty engineering, from loose wire ends at the joint to dying microphones. The problem with the Tactic3D is that the "neat" detatchable microphone is a disaster. On top of being useless feature, the female connection is known to utterly crap out, as was the case with mine. As it stands, the sound is superb but the microphone is completely non-functional. The wired version also uses a thin, flat cable which is easily damaged.
I bought a
Turtle Beach Z6A and couldn't be any more happier with it. The variable volume/microphone adjustments are all done with on a separate controller so you don't need to fiddle around with drivers or anything. Mic sounds great and the sound quality is decent (the bass is a little thin) and it comes with threaded cable protection and a jack splitter so you can plug in your headset and speakers at the same time. Each earpiece has 3 speakers and one subwoofer for surround sound. The ears can be folded in when you're not using them and there's also an analog playback of the microphone directly into the speakers--kind of weird at first but you get used to it. Only drawback, in your case, is that the controller is USB-powered so it's going to take up a slot anyway. EDIT: oops I didn't read the price constraint in the original post, these ones are a bit pricey
