I guess you two are perfectly right about this, and indeed I rage way too often because of my way to see the game.
But for me it's simply the fact that you are one of perhaps 30 to 50 players, and this makes me feel like there is a common goal to achieve, where every single one of us is less important. It's not about fighting against someone, it's about fighting with someone against someone else. That's the difference, and that's why my own performance, considering things like blocking, aiming and killing, never can be enough, I always feel like I am put in a real battle, like Azingcourt, Tannenberg or Hastings, and battles are to be won. What does it help me if I killed shitloads of enemies, if I lose the battle? It was battle mode, not duel mode. In duel mode I would be satisfied, in battle mode I am not.
