i keep seeing people with like blue and green and purple hair, how do you do that?

It only works for female characters. You just have to keep pressing randomize or w/e it is when you're creating your physical appearance in-game and you'll eventually get odd-colored hair.

it depends on the skin you take.

In CRPG, there are two white skins, one allows you to chose "strange" colours for your hair.
By the way, this is totally unreal, and this hair are very... spottable from far.

EDIT : you have to take a female character.

The easiest way to get purple hair is to go in make a white female character, then to set her hair color you have to scroll through all the different skin types till you end up back on white girl again, afterwords something kicks in and you can switch hair color.
