Hilt is somewhere in between, blade is more like DGS.

Not really, if you look at the cross-section, its diamond shaped in both gs and ls.
They both belong to type XVIII I believe. While DGS belongs to it too, it has a very distinctive blade form with no similarity to GGS and LS. I could be mistaken ofc.

I used HBS before the patch mainly because of the sheath now that longsword has one i'm quite happy :D
