Change weather so that it's tied to the current map

Is there a way to make it so the weather is the same for everyone on the map regardless if they join late or not?  We played field by the river on super fog a couple days ago and it was really fun (even though my eyes hurt afterwards).  But if people joined late and didn't have the SUPER fog, they had a huge advantage.

There was so much fog you literally couldn't tell it was field by the river unless you had a horse.  People were 4 rounds in and finally figuring out what map it was.  It was pretty epic and cool, but a really big disadvantage over people who didn't have the epic super fog.

Weather should be removed. It doesnt effect the player base equally and is just a grief to those effected.

Why not add random elements for those classes not effected?

Instead of rain, we could have "1918 Flu Pandemic" that slows everyone down to 1 athletics, 1 wpf, 1 agi, and 1 str.

Random penalties to game mechanics are Super Fun!

+1 to this,  having the occasional crazy weather effects can be really cool and change the dynamics of a map (as you said - heavy fog to reduce visibility), but knowing that others can see what you can't totally takes the wind out of the sails.

Maybe something like a weather 'lock' from the start of a map until mapchange, or a per-round-based update?

Wait, weather isn't the same for all players who join the game?  Wtf is that?

That is seriously the most retarded thing I've ever heard of in CRPG.  This should be main priority above all other balance, bug, or gameplay issues.

It's kinda the same, but afaik it's based on when you load the map.   If people go from one map to another together they carry over the same weather, and the weather will stay that same way throughout the map rotation if you don't leave.

But if you leave the map and rejoin or someone joins halfway in, it's possible they will see a sunny day when the weather shows as rainy for others.

I do think the same effects occur (ie you'll still take speed/crossbow penalties if the map is raining, regardless of if you see it as sunny or not), but yeah, pretty lame.

Well weather can be annoying, but I don't think it should be removed if they can make it universal for everyone on the same map. It literally can completely change a map.  Super duper fog on field by the river was really fun, the map was 100% different than it would have been if it was a clear day. If they can't make it so weather is the same for everyone on the map, then I would petition to have it removed.

Nope! Can't understand how those arrows are coming at you so accurately through the fog? They don't have fog! Just you!
