Saving your main's loot?

Hey guys, I know this is a ridiculously stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure. I have a character that's an alt that I'd like to use in strat instead of my main, but as far as I know, you can't, unless you kill your main off. I really don't want to kill my main just for strat because of the heirlooms and cash and whatnot. Just making sure that there isn't some other way to safekeep his equipment before I just kill have to kill him and lose all that wonderful stuff. Thanks.  :D

There is but it is a bit exploitative with the market, so don't do it (it requires a friend though).

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

well, you cant turn an alt into a main, only a new character into a main.

The best solution would be to carry on plying your main, retire, and then switch to the play-style / build that your alt has.

you can use the marketplace to get the appropriate looms etc you require via trades.

How would using the respec feature save my stuff though? All it does it cut my xp in half and let me redistribute it...

What? respeccing just resets your stats/skills and you lose exp for doing it, you dont lose any heirlooms. If your ALT has heirlooms that you want then just wait until you retire your main, then before your main is level 5 you can use the sacrifice feature on your ALT to transfer his heirlooms to your main.

These features would make deleting your main pointless.

Unless.... his alt is higher gen and therefore has a higher XP bonus :D

In which case he has gimped himself and should have changed his mains build long ago to his alts build if he played it so much ;)

Haha, nah, my main is the "strongest" of em all. Im not trying to get heirlooms from other characters to my main, but trying to save himself somehow. I have an idea on how to do it from Tears example. Thanks for all the advice though guys.
