If it has to do with the map pack is constantly being updated well then alright, let the people who really care about that update it themselves, at least let the general crpg populance see all the custom banners, and there are a lot of them.

ooh, that is a pretty good idea. The average player may look at people's set ups and be very confused with the correlation between gear & banner that looks odd.
Like I always thought ATS had an odd banner choice for their gear until I got the banner pack.

Besides, most of the banner pack looks sweet compared to the normal banners.

best thing would be a game launcher that automatically updates c-rpg and mods you select. easily done by using rsync.
it's done a lot for ARMA2 and there are tools available already.

just not sure if anyone cba to do it

but it would make the game so much more accessible for players who want to play it for the first time.

Thats why I said let the people who care update them constantly, the majority of established clans are already in, I say lets have a vote in the announcements or something

There is yet another issue.

A lot of minor clans, my own included, have taken the banners unknowingly of bigger native clans.
Can we prevent these from using theirs on cRPG? And more importantly: Should we be able to?

A much better solution would be to increase the amount of banners and make the new banners available only for faction members.

This way all the native banners would be available for those interested in this.

(and don't say its hardcoded, cuz cmpetc. made it not)

Well I would just replace it with the originals. Some of the banners are ridicilously ugly. Heraldic laws ftw

The bannerpack is done by Adnecrias, you can ask him how much slots are still left.

It's done by him (community), so that's probably why it isn't included. That and the fact the c-rpg downloadfile would have to be updated too often to keep it up to date I'm guessing.

In addition: Some slots are used by more then one clan.

Eastern Tsardom and HRE use the same slot. But we at HRE use a FIX for the Bannerpack.
Thats ok as long as everybody has to download but how would you decide who gets the slot
if it is implemented in the game?

Who will get a slot if some Clan is gone? When is a clan gone? Can a Clan with 1 Member get a slot?
As long as there are limited slots this shouldnt be in crpg itself.

BTW (if dev-s read this) - it would be nice to increase number of banners (x2 at least).
Because here are (almost) no left free banners for new faction.

That is stupid that multiple factions use the same banner, I believe larger factions deserve their own slot, there are tons of banners for tiny crappy factions that I have no idea who they are.
