Both the models are replicas of extant early medieval helmets from eastern Europe. The helm the Nordic Pot is based on has holes around the rim, so there's every chance it supported mail face protection (though the holes could equally have been used for lining, to the best of my knowledge). I'm pretty sure the helmet the Nordic Conical is based on could not accomodate anything similar though. Maybe it was worn over a coif, but I wouldn't have thought it would be very secure if that were the case.

I would like to have the pot helmet with an open coif just as the normal coif we have.

Really don't like that it only has a small slit for the eyes :/
