shield broke

i was playing with my shield and some guy with axe broke it.when next round started i spawned without my shield and thought i just forgot to put it on but than i discovered that it has been like  remooved from my equipment and i dont have it anymore. Is it a new crappy feature or its bug? And can that happen with like 1 mil worth shield?

Susliks i think your shield skill is too low? And you forgot to repair your shield from CRPG page?

auto repair is on and shield at first should break and become worse  adn only thqan break.
