Ok, I forgot about that new punch damage. But as gauntlet weight already gets doubled during penalty calculation it would be more a disadvantage then an advantage. Esp as punching has almost no use ingame except for the lols.
If you're using heavy gauntlets you need to stop, leave it for the real men who punch first and ask questions later.
Let's modify the game for my niche build guys! Never stop contributing these well thought out ideas to make CRPG better.
I'm not using heavy gauntlets - I just fear if it makes it way into some patch the other gauntlets (scale gauntlets on my side) get an increased weight too
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.
Actually, the dev team modifies the game for niche builds quite a bit. Crushthrough builds for example started as niche before people realized it was stupid op. Hoplite builds got an indirect buff through making ashwood pike useful. Pikemen got nerfed due to...well pikes got really nerfed.Crpg pretty much consists OF niche builds. My 7 riding build can also be considered niche since most horsemen just make do with 6. I could go on for a long time, hope you get the point.
Yo, just make a new "spiked gauntlet" that is super heavy. It will only be useful for unarmed fighting, so it won't affect balance at all. The thing shouldn't be too powerful, but hurt enough to make sense conceptually as a "spiked gauntlet".
