I've topped the scoreboard on a regular basis as 2h, 1h cav, and 1h, besides, swings on 2h's now have a delay, which was only added recently...

Every person that i see in first with +20 kills and 2 deaths is using a two hander. Before I start I want to make it clear that I'm not saying that using two handers doesn't require some skill. What i am saying is, I think that there is a problem with the speed that they are swung. For example, I  can't even get a second swing off before I get hit with the 5 two handed swing and I am using a one handed sword! I find that skill isn't the reason why these two handed warriors are in first, but rather than super fast spamming of the two handers. Anyone else agree? Thoughts?

lol... They spam you cuz u are slow with attacking back. If its no skill to play 2h, do it urself then and see if you can get 20+ kills, something you wont.

Good cav can go infinity - 0.

I've seen players go 30 - 0 with a 1h on a server with 20 people on it.

It is skill, there amount of and your lack of that is coming into play.
Fammi un pompino!

I think I have ball cancer in my right nut :(
Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)

Every class played well can pull of good scores.

Most of the time I have noticed it is far more interesting to see how good players generally excel or at least remain dangerous no matter what class/weapon/etc they use. ^^

Well, 2h/pole is much easier at first to get kills with, if you can't really block, because all you need is spam and a bit of footwork, and you can already kill 60% of the player base.

Good players will turn you into mincemeat, though.

Yepp, the common issue of the 2handers. High damage and quite beneficial animations.
I your case i think that they have tricked you with a hiltslash. Currently a widely used attack.

Most of the time they start with a leftswing followed by a rightswing. If you block the first hit and circle clockwise around your enemies, then you will move in thier next strike and they will hit you first.

The counter is to block twice or to try a anti-clockwise rotation, but this is hard against agi chars.

Then 1hand animation. Your rightswing is not that fast, but it offers a bit more reach to your weapon. Your leftswing is really fast but works only at short ranges.
The thrust is your "haha" long range attack, but it is ultra slow and wiffs at close ranges (unlike a 2hander), that is why you should better use an overhead if the enemy is right under your nose.

2h's are duelists but put them in a teamwork scenario and 2h's cant play their duelist roles as well. They are balanced enough imo.

The above stats it exactly as it is. As far as dueling and 1v1 2h's are one of the best (doesn't mean that if you aren't good you cant beat them). 2h weapons do a lot of damage and have a lot of range.

In a battle situation however, which is where you should be if you have any self-respect, 2hs are quickly at a disadvantage: no shield to block arrows, out ranged by lances of cav, and in a large team cluster- f* I don't care how good that 2h is he can't block everything.

That's why I play what I think is the funnest and most interesting builds out there. The HBS (heavy bastard sword) and shield. I lolz whenever people tell me that I'm a nub and shouldn't use a bastard sword with a shield. I use the shield in team fights and when archers are around, and I put it away for 1v1 or 1v2 s. Adaptability ftw.

That's it. Don't like it? Tough.

1h/shield is totaly aboozed, you're imune from arrow, you kill 2h and polearme easily, you can push in battle and obstruct on siege.

Come on 1h must be nerf and 2h upgraded!! Be realistic

I have been playing for a long time and honestly, 2h are the kill makers.
Talking about battle, not all maps are made for cav while 2h thrives anywhere.

2h has great range, very fast animations and super damage.
and those fast animations get even faster with looming the weapon.

and the best proof of 2h being best weapons- I rarely have such great scores as I have with my 2h alt every map, with any other class.

greatswords are heavily OP, they deliver massive demage, their stabs are faster than a 1h and as long as a pike. these swords werent even able to be stabbed like that. they should be only there for swinging.

greatswords power is only limited by the upkeep.

its a fucking pity that everyone runs arround with an mw danish or mw german greatsword though there are a lot of other weapons.
This masterwork bolt will send you straight to hell Tincan!
