When I first started playing cRPG, before I quit and came back, it seemed like every map ended in an epic battle between BeatrixKiddo and crymoar. Good to see a dinosaur come back to life!

Holy crap! Lots of replies. Thanks for all the warm welcomes. And yes you guys are right, this version of cRPG is waaaaay dif then when I played....Played a few games last night and figured that out.

It appears as though every one is going STR build now. Which is slightly dissapointing because, well, you know.... I'm an agi whore. I was worried that my stats were useless now. Which I feel they kind of are, I don't swing nearly as fast as I used to... my friend said it may be because I am over encumbered and not have enough str, which is understandable. So now I have to wear light armor, oh and I can't wield my Flamingburger =(.  So now I cant charge into 10 people and kill them all in 1 hit with swiftness ;_;.

That's okay though because I'm planning on retiring this char.

There they are.

A lot of the stats have been lowered, for instance, I used to be lvl 38. And I used to have 258 2h wpf ( back then apparently It meant something) Everything else seems to be accurate though.

that 78 pts in polearm I just did yesterday, I had some to spend, but friends told me not to go 2h any more cus of diminishing returns.

The stats may be crazy now, but trust me, back in the day they worked

Visit the beginner section for build advices and respec (you can spend 50% of your xp -you should loose 2/3 levels doing that- to reassign your points) to something you like. With that build I don't think you'll have the courage to reach level 31 xD

Yeah, respec it as soon as possible, and grab a modern-era build.

A respec at 28 isn't that much of a problem, but trying to retire with that.. you'll just save yourself time, and sanity.

That old one got torn apart thanks to recalculations and stuff.

21/18, 24/15 are good choices, obviously you can do the opposites if you prefer that.

More Strength might help, NA is well known for more high str chars afaik.

21/18, 25/14 are good choices, obviously you can do the opposites if you prefer that.

Might help, NA is famous for more high str chars.

You mean 24/15, right?

Also, yeah. NA is all about that Strength stacking stuff.

I stand corrected, made a typo there.

Was thinking about various builds and typed this nonsense for some reason.

Cheers.

25/14

I think you fucked up somewhere. Dyslexia ? Also, the STR bias of NA has changed I think. Now it's pretty much everybody balanced, just like in EU. I'd say 90% of builds are quite nicely distributed in the 15/24 - 24/15 zone, with a large part of 18/21 or 21/18, and the cavs with 3 attributes less.
