Half Swording for 1h swords

This is both a realism suggestion and I think an interesting addition to 1h swords.

A list of Swords I believe Half swords is possible with from my VERY limited research, feel free to add more.

Simple Sword, Simple Nordic Sword, Arabian Straight Sword, Nordic Sword, Sword, Arabian Arming Sword, Arming Sword, Nordic War Sword, Arabian Guard Sword, Long Arming Sword, Italian Sword, Knightly Arming Sword, Nordic Champion Sword & Long Espada Eslavona.

I have left out some of the fine swords, I could be completely wrong about them.

This was originally directed at the Italian Sword so I will start with the stat change that I think would be interesting.

weight: 1.2
difficulty: 11
speed rating: 100
weapon length: 98
thrust damage: 30 pierce
swing damage: 22 cut

If it's polearm profiency, I wonder if this is even worth it at all.

If it isn't, why wouldn't the same mode be available for about any ~100 length sword with a decent stab (Knightly Arming Sword, Long Espada, Long Arming Sword)? I mean, what makes just Italian Sword so awesome for this?

You could have ti for any sword. The Langes Messar does a half swording thrust when its in 2h mode. Its proficiency should stay with 1h going to anything else makes no sense at all. Just like 2h should stay as 2h.

I chose the Italian sword because I like the damned thing. And it was known for being half sworded in combat. Most of the 1h swords could be half sword, its a valid point. The long arming could easily be and so could the nordic swords. The sword I would be etchy on would be the espadas because it has a slender blade IRL, but that is niether here nor there point.

IMO the Italian is already too good and the secondary mode wouldn't be that useful really... And they will just end up like 2hander alt mode, useless.

The only reason 2h half sword is so garbage is that it pushes you on to pole arm wpf for some reason I don't understand.

I tried half sword with a pole arm stf and it was pretty fun. Its got huge limitations and is only useful occasionally but its always fun to be able to change up your fight style and throw some random nonsense at people.

Yeah. I'd like to try the 2h halfsword modes too, but on my main it will never happen since if I go hybrid, 2h + polearms is the least likely choice and just using half sword mode only with polearm profiency counters the point a bit.

It'd be nice to at least try how they'd work out if they use the main weapon profiency. Obviously 1h weapons in 2h mode would still use 2h wpf, though if that's changed I'm not angry either.
