I am normally against this kind of idea because it allows gold farming/leeching anonymously. However your idea ties the name of your main to your alt and so you would be discouraged for the same reason you would not leech on your main. I like this idea because it stops abuse of the system yet stops me from feeling bad from playing an alt.
So in conclusion I voted yes for this idea since I am a man of 4 alts on top of my main.
