NEW CD-KEY! What now?!?

Hello everyone! My problem is:

I deinstalled M&B a few months ago. Meanwhile my CD got broken. I bought a new one yesterday and installed the game - with the new CD-key of course. Now i wanted to start with crpg with my old character (I still can edit it on http://c-rpg.net/ without problems) but I get kicked immediately and are told, that the character belongs to someone else.

What can I do?

Don't you have the key from your old CD?

Even if you lost the key there's a way of asking Talesworlds for it. At least if you bought it online. If it was through steam, I think you can find it even more easily.

Yes, I still have it. But I also use a new steam-account because i lost all my old pw-informations including the mail-adress I used that time after a harddisk-crash, so steam would not accept my old CD-key with my actual steam-account, I guess.

Have you put a ticket in with steam to get your account back?

You should do that, even with out the email you just need to provide proof you brought game on steam. ie bank transactions showing that you purchesed the game.

I bought both games as DVDs in a real life PC-Games-Store. Not the virtual steam-version.
