Gloves affect WPF more but the weight doesn't get multiplied when running speed is considered, afaik. Otherwise they might as well have the multiplied weight on the website. But yeah, I don't really see the problem. Unless you're cav or an archer you should be able to wear anything you want and be able to upkeep it.
