i think it is a valuable part of the game.
PK is back

PK is a collection of elites from throughout modern and ancient history. Giants of Calradia individually, as a group these gods of combat shatter all expectations and ascend to a higher plain of victory that only a few have seen before.

Dying because you cannot control your character is always aggravating, and getting a kill because your opponent was stunned is never satisfying (same goes for knockdown).

That being said, the polearm left swing would have to be buffed to compensate for losing stun (seriously - it's nearly worthless). In addition, the spears would require an increase in side-swing damage.

Edit:
The support polearms (long spear, english bill, awlpike, etc) absolutely should not have polestun. They are already among the easiest weapons to use in group combat. The easier something is to use, the less powerful it should be.

Speak for yourself  :D

There's nothing more satisfying than knocking someone down, hitting them, then kicking them just as they're about to get up, then hitting them again. This is the sole reason I sometimes use knockdown weapons.

It would be fairly easy to balance out a way to have the same general effect, without the loss of character control. For example, weapons that have knockdown could be modified to benefit a lot more from speed bonus instead. That way, you still have the ability to one or two-shot people, but without the random factor.

It's a bit random, but I think of it like this: they give away pure damage and speed and reach. If you get knocked down, well, that's what they traded all those things for. I never see it as "unfair" and as such I think letting knocked down people get up is ridiculous as well. It's a simple exchange of bonuses, reach damage and speed being the bonus of X weapons and the occasional knockdown being bonus of Y weapons.

Knockdown is pure win.

Take a knobbed mace as a lightly armored guy with some ps and Enjoy the fuck out of knocking down tincans :D

Its so funny when they go down and you are like "Yeah boy how tastes my mace?here, have another mouthful!"
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.
