its very easy....anything MORE than 8 weight is 2 slots

steel, heavy board, huscarl, fur covered, heavy norman

Not to be an asshole (for once!) but I could have sworn it was 8 and up, rather than higher than 8.

On my shielder alt IIRC the heavy heather takes 2 slots, while being 8 weight.

Some 8 weight shields are 1 slot, other 8 weight shields are 2. Over 8 is always 2, under 8 is always 1.

If you say some, do you mean the Board Shield, because it's the only so far unmentioned 8kg shield.

Yes, Board shield is 8 weight and 1 slot. I haven't tried all the 8 weight shields, but I know that at least one is 1 slot and others are 2 slots.

well i would think this should be put in.back when i just started cav i got a 2slot shield on accident which kinda screwed me over

it tell you other weapons slots why not the shields?

That SHOULD (read: it's not) the bucklers. That would make up for their high cost and small size. Maybe a smaller wooden buckler too? Also, more 0 and 2 slot 1handers, more 1 and 3 slot 2handers and polearms. :D :D :D :D
