Nah, system was implemented because there are too much whiner-warriors, which was constantly killed in melee by archers with 0-50 wpf in secondary weapon.
TBH I do not remember Chase or Phyrex or other non forum warriors about BIG, UGLY ans DEADLY archers\crossbowmans with 2h weapons.

But others just do this River of Noob Tears as a gift for developers.
Now they whine about BIG and AWFUL mace for example.

no - do not make these already powerful weapons even better

gameplay is based off realism but only to a certain point
