from what i remember... there is already loot in strat. you get up to 25% of the gear from either your enemy or from all the troops who died... not sure on how it calculates and if 25% is a consistent number or just the cap... would need a dev to confirm.

The loot was "Whatever the loser hadn't used by the end of the battle, and the winner hadn't spent."

It also suffered from the same problem that the trade goods did, somehow everything would start multiplying.

pff what would a peace loving hippy like you know phantom?

remember how people got insane gear and they had to wipe all gear? thats cause the new loot system was giving up to 250% or something instead of capping at 25% like it should, so youd actually end up with more gear than they even had... im pretty sure it was then fixed to actually max at 25% after they wiped gear.

Attacking as bandits with loot 25% isn't good for attacker at all,except if you get 100% of trade goods caravan was caring and they should make pillagers town,(better defense,buying stolen goods and defended by players in bandit faction(they don't have fields and towns,only name and place to hide,and can go stealth with option to make ambush on roads(usable only if you have less than 100 man)))
