This will not devide the old from the new as much as people think. Players will not have all of their equipment at +4 within a week of this being implemented. Even if someone could afford to pay for multiple +4s, there just aren't enough people at that level to do it. It will take a long time for +4 equipment to really impact gameplay.
Personally, I retire as soon as I hit 31, and that's not changing anytime soon.
