Mount and Blade - which proficiency?

Hello

I was aiming to use swords on horseback but I am a little bit confused now. I was investing all wpf into two-handed weapons so I could use them on the ground and on the horse later. Now, since I am using a longsword on a horse and swing it with one hand (though it is classified in the shop as 2handed), it appears to be a bit slow... Does it count as 1hander and 1handed profficiency is needed? If I 1handed weapons proficiency affects the use of weapons on horse I'll have to respec and go for 1handers and buy longsword for the mount use... :/

If you use the longsowrd with a shield i uses 1h WPF.

Good to know. I was always denying shields, anyway :)
