Heavy Throwing Axes

The website is not very clear on the mêlée stats on this weapon. Is the weapon speed in mêlée the same as the throwing speed? What about swing damage?

Also, once heirloomed, does the secondary mode improve?

I once had MW heavy throwing axe, yes the melee mode stat do get better too! 36 cut if i recall...

Problem is the range still suck..
