Hi guys.

I've had an idea! Probably not a good one. (yay my single forever alone brain cell has fired)

lvl to 31 once, then you recieve a loom point and the chance to respec for free. From then on you continue to lvl to 32 and so on, however a seperate XP counter ticks away on your progression towards another loom point. Basically, you wouldn't have to retire and grind back to 31 to get another loom point, you would acrew them over time as you kept lvling on to the next lvl.

Fire away, smash the idea on the rocks of reason and reality or what ever, you know, meh.

Cheers

Fammi un pompino!

I think I have ball cancer in my right nut :(
Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)
Bad news everybody, I got dumped :(

If you could just continue levelling even past 36, your skills would get crazy and new players would be even more devastated. The system as it is now helps new players a bit, at least.

Personally, I think half the reason retiring is around is so everyone isn't level 33+.

So not only do you gain a level, you also gain upgraded equipment to help you crush more peasants with? Get to that next loom even faster since it's easier to hold a multi at your new level 32!

On a side note, I think looms give enough of an advantage already (omg itz op)

The retiring mechanic is there to reset people to level 1. I originally was against it, but it's far better to have it like this than to have level 36 superbuilds on the players who play a lot. Many of those people can already beat people senseless with no effort, let alone with +2 power strike/draw or whatever else.

Currently it's also a good mechanic to encourage people to respec if they are bored with their old build. If you're retiring anyway there's no cost to it.

I also personally like being low level once in a while. The worst part actually is 20-30 since you aren't in a full build yet but kills don't feel as satisfying as they do as a low level either.
