Kick range

I am a big kicker, always had been, even after 1.127 patch went outdated and they ruined it.
I have no problem with the no spin, but the range, omg the range is horid.
half the time your foot actually goes through their body with no connection, its pathetic.
you basically have to be at facehug range for it to work.

Opinions?

It's fine. Any longer range and it'd be OP. My usual dueling style is very aggressive, but against good kickers I have to change how I play, and even then the really good ones can trick you sometimes. For other people, kick is what it should be- a very situational tool. You shouldn't be kicking around like Jackie Chan in a game with swords and shit.

The hell are you on about? I'm an avid and prolific user of the kick as well, and I find it almost overly long.

If anything it should have its speed increased and duration lowered, as well as its range. But I'm not really desperate to get it changed.

Im not saying you should be kicking around like jackie chan, having a kick range that is basically equal to the length of the leg when its extended in game is what is needed. if you look, that isnt very long at all.

And by aggressive playstyle im guessing you mean facehugging hiltslashing, in which ofcourse you dont want kick extended, cos it counters your own playstyle.
It wouldnt make it OP at all, it can already be a death sentence for even the best kickers, stops you moving/turning, making people easily get behind you for a hit. and half the time that happens, the kicker see's there foot go through the others players body as they ran around.

That's got nothing to do with the kick but the hit detection itself, it's a problem with the engine. Just like when you get hit in the cheek  by an arrow a few cm from the actual model it registers as a headshot.

Perhaps kick could be a slightly maneuverable move? Currently the kick seems to have slight lag and the move misses as the other combatant moves sideways. I'm by no way suggesting the kick should be like lolstab but just a slightly more maneuverable.

It just seems that 95%(including me) can't use kick at all and mainly use it for harassing own team members and very rarely landing a successful kick on a shield turtler in a corner.

Yesterday I got myself into a corner with two enemies directly infront of me. I kicked right through the first and hit the guy behind me, the first guy chopped a piece of my head off in the meantime.
