Smithing skill and heirlooms

If I already have 10 smithing skill in an object and I heirloom it, will the smithing skill stay with the unheirloomed object, or will the +10 be moved to the heirloomed object?

My guess is it will stay with the unheirloomed object.

definitely won't be moved. at one point I had two levels of one item on my list.
