No one can hit shit in vikingr mod without the cross hair.

That is precisely how archery should be, Trollbane. I'm sure that even the guy from my signature can't hit shit in RL.

Their won't be any archers in crpg if you remove the crosshair.

We would all cry our eyes out for 'em. Probably even quit the mod.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

It would be cool if the crosshair was completely removed from the game for any weapon.
Wherever I tread, only chaos & destruction follow.

After you get used to the arc, its not that difficult to shoot things with a bow in vikingr due to the flatter trajectory and relative lack of drift. Of course, it's much harder to sniper from half the map away, but you can hit things 25-50m away reliably. Plus, archery does more dmg in vikingr due to lowered armour values all around. As others have stated, bump up arrow dmg or something similar to compensate and archers would be much more respectable.

If you remove crosshair for thrower it would actually buff them as the projectile do not got in the center of the crosshair but a little below to the right.
But shhhhhuusch it's a secret.

I might support this if arrows were capable of dealing out real damage.

I have yet to meet a thrower who exclusively uses throwing that uses the reticule. I just use it to get a general idea of where the centre of my screen is, the actual aiming is done without it.
As someone said before, there's no use for the reticule anyway for throwers.

But if throwing gets buffed a bit by faster projectiles, then I'm all for removing the reticule :)

The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

You idiots, you can't balance things around removing a feature which takes five minutes to plug back in, and yes, CRPG players on average ARE minmaxing munchkins which will abuse everything. So if you remove the reticule and buff damage, you only buffed all the archers which cheat the system (read: all the archers with half a clue).
Best ban reason ever:

I checked, the only Vagabond I found was Wolves_Vagabond_TheCruel, that guy is now unbanned. Ban reason was: "calling Zotte a cockswoggler".

Ok. It is 10 sec of work to make crosshair in Vikingr back. I did it and crossh in Vik is pinpoint, believe me. Check yourself: copy ui_gadgets from Native/Textures, then paste it in Vikingr/Textures.

IMO in crpg there is too big reticule (too small accuracy) to remove xhair.

Heh, I already have tiny pieces of blu-tack for marking the centre screen and at 1cm intervals beneath for judging elevation; it makes things easier. Removing the reticule wouldn't make much difference to throwers, so I doubt it would to archers either.

lol
I used to do this same thing in previous FPS games for leading targets, except with a piece of projector film for overhead projectors and vis-a-vis dry erase markers.
And I should be nice or polite to anyone.... why exactly?

This is bad idea becouse bows are weak now.
If you want to kill peasant you must shoot to him three or four arrows...

The problem with bow is not with power. The problem is in range.
Good God. Warbow's arrow's flight path is more precise than this shit's:

If someone may by easy action (for example by putting a "stick-tape" somewhere on monitor)
get a significant advantage... For example - increase swing of your weapon by +20 speed or
make +20 pierce dmg or +100 longer or whatever.

Will you do this too if you know what someone from other team did it (but you can not prove it)?
Or will continue play with crap weapon while other using "upgraded version"?

Especially if you will die because of this every round. Because enemy team did it, but you don't.

Are you talking, that someone can actually make stats of weapon better? No! Only server can do that, and then it apply to all such weapon users...

I will show you what can client:

Client - contains textures, models etc + single player data, so all scripts etc. If client will make weapon stronger, it will apply only  to singleplayer, untill server will do that, too.

Server - doesnt contain any textures or modelts etc, but contains all scripts needed to run game. Script files (.txt) in server module override client scripts, until it is compatibile with client scripts. If it isnt, client cant get to server or client/server get crushed.

So noone can cheat with +20 weapon lenght etc until server host will do that.

If you are talking about reticule, then yes, you can of course stick some "real" reticule to middle of your screen. And what then? it DONT give you real accuracy, because it WONT change (while adjusting to your bow accuracy). :)

No advantage. And it is really easy to get reticule in Vikingr back. I repeat that!

It was just an example. If people cheat it will force other people to cheat or get raped.
That's why giving bows a reasonable cap on accuracy is better for balancing than doing it through a reticule which can easily be reenabled again.
